– What does the cost include?
A 1-1.5 hour meeting including invention discovery, search, and discussion of the results with you. You will also receive a written summary of the results and a synopsis of the features (if any) that would most likely contribute to patentability.
– Is this an AI-generated search?
No – this is a live and interactive search by an experienced member of the US patent bar, such as a patent agent registered with the USPTO. In order to bring you the most value, we leverage leading edge search platforms that incorporate AI-assistance features that reduce time-consuming and repetitive search tasks so your patent practitioner invests more of the time in bringing their experience and skill to bear to guide the search and apply the results to your specific scenario so you get meaningful insights at industry-leading speed and cost savings.
– Is the search comprehensive
The search covers millions of patent documents spanning the globe, and may also include non-patent literature review if the patent practitioner believes it will be helpful in understanding the patentability of your technical innovation. Of course, the search is time-limited to a max of 1.5 hours total meeting time, so it is not physically possible to look at every possible document (which isn’t possible even if you spend orders of magnitude more time). However, in our experience, we reach a high confidence level (we estimate 90+%) in most cases. We also have found that our search results usually find the same or better results as a full (and much higher cost) patentability search by independent search companies or a full examination search by leading patent offices.
